Trucking touches nearly every aspect of the economy. Still, it can often be overlooked even though trucks are responsible for delivering raw materials to manufacturing plants, transporting products between distribution facilities, and delivering finished products to businesses and consumers. This presentation will give insight into how the Department is moving forward to address the truck parking need by discussing current implementation studies and activities, development of the freight chapter in the Florida Design Manual, technology, and specification updates.
