The STRIDES 2 Zero (S2Z) Program is a statewide initiative focused on eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries by applying state-of-the-art highway safety management practices in Florida. As part of this program, signalized intersections on the State Highway System have been screened and evaluated annually using a data-driven performance-based approach since its inception in 2020. The presentation will provide an overview of the S2Z program, its successes, and implementation challenges encountered.
