Cristina R. Morales-Quiles is a Safety Studies Engineer who is responsible for developing solutions to reduce crashes and ensure safer roads. She is a firm believer in the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Target Zero Initiative, which aims to achieve zero serious injury and fatal crashes within our roadways and communities. Cristina is currently managing three programs for FDOT: Resurfacing, Rehabilitation, and Restoration (RRR) Safety Reviews, Railroad Diagnostic Reviews, and Safe Routes to School application reviews. She is also working on managing a new area of safety engineering that focuses on reducing work zone crashes. Cristina is committed to becoming a leader within FDOT and is continuously developing her leadership skills through these different programs. Cristina has been a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) since 2023 and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Florida International University.
