Dr. Dibakar Saha is the Traffic Services Safety Engineer in the State Traffic Engineering and Operations Office at Tallahassee. He currently oversees FDOT’s two statewide initiatives, namely the STRIDES 2 Zero program and the Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE) program. He also serves as the Enterprise Data Steward for Traffic Operations in FDOT’s data governance team. He is honored to serve as a member and represent FDOT in the AASHTO Highway Safety Manual Second Edition (HSM2) Steering Committee. He also provides his technical expertise as a panel member in multiple NCHRP projects. He is also a member in TRB’s Statistical and Econometrics Methods Committee. Dibakar received his bachelor’s and master’s in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and later completed his PhD specializing in transportation engineering from Florida International University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida as well as in Arizona. In addition, he is certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer and a Road Safety Professional level 2. He is an author or co-author of nearly 50 scholarly publications, including journal articles, conference papers, and research reports.
