Meeting the Challenge of Rail Safety in Florida

Meeting current Florida needs has rail safety implications for communities. With population surging and congestion relief continuing to be a critical need, new and faster passenger rail services are coming to fruition and communities are interested in increasing development around transportation opportunities. These trends require a change in perspective on how railroads and federal, state, and local agencies address rail safety. FDOT will be sharing a summary of current challenges and initiatives to meet those challenges.
