The main objectives of FDOT’s Emerging Technology (ET) Program are to (a) mainstream transportation technology considerations at the Department, (b) partner with industry, and (c) to tell the FDOT tech story. Hence the goals to promote, inspire and attract the vendor, equipment, and industry entities, while testing and implementing safety- and mobility-centric tech applications. Policies on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) are central to tech initiatives at FDOT, and therefore this presentation will focus on ET, AI and UAS.
