Ruth Roaza is the Technology Resources Coordinator for the Office of Environmental Management. She has over 30 years of experience providing information technology solutions for environmental management, primarily supporting NEPA studies and transportation project delivery. Ruth has supported FDOT in the development and implementation of the Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM) process since 2000, leading the team of programmers to develop the Environmental Screening Tool. Prior to joining FDOT, Ruth was a senior project manager for IT/GIS services at AECOM, Transportation Business Line. Previous experience includes GIS Manager at Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and Scientific Programmer for US Geological Survey. Ruth has her Bachelor’s degree from Muskingum University with a double major in Religion/Philosophy and Computer Science. She also completed two years of course work in organizational and interpersonal communication through the International Studies graduate program at Ohio University.
