Melissa Mulvaney, PE, is a Drainage Engineer Supervisor for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 7 where she manages three Drainage Continuing Services Contracts. She also supports the District Drainage Engineer by mentoring staff and promoting professional growth in the drainage field. Melissa has 21 years of experience in drainage design. Prior to joining FDOT, she worked for various consultant firms in the Tampa Bay area. Her experience includes the design of stormwater management facilities, open and closed storm drain systems, flooding complaints, drainage connection permit reviews and environmental permitting. Melissa has been the EOR on a wide range of projects including capacity and widening, interstate, RRR with sidewalk and design build. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida.
