Mary Jane Hayden (CO)

Mary Jane Hayden is a licensed PE, and she received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Florida State University. She began working for FDOT in District One in 2003 as a PE Trainee. Between 2005 and 2013, she worked in the consulting world, and then in Spring of 2013, she rejoined the Department as a Project Manager in Central Office. In 2015, she started working in the Roadway Design Office where she managed the Plans Preparation Manual, which became the FDOT Design Manual. In 2019, she began working as a Pavement Design Engineer, and in September of 2021, Mary Jane was appointed to the role of State Pavement Design Engineer.
