Larry Jones earned his BSCE & MSCE degrees from the University of South Florida in 1989 & 1991. Larry worked with Law Engineering in Tampa, and then PSI & GCI both in Winter Park between 1987 and 1995 where he learned the fine art of dynamic testing. Larry joined FDOT at the District Three Materials Office in Chipley in 1995, and became the Department’s State Geotechnical Engineer in September of 2001. Larry helped write the 8th Edition of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification, is an active member of the Deep Foundations Institute, and sponsored the Specification and Pay Item updates discussed in this presentation.
