Kelly Shishlova (SMO)

Kelly Shishlova is a licensed professional engineer with over eight years of technical experience. She received her bachelor’s and master’s from the University of Florida and joined FDOT in 2020 as a Professional Engineer Trainee. In her current role, she manages and leads both in-house and university-contracted geotechnical research projects, develops, revises, and maintains procedures, specifications, manuals, and test methods related to geotechnical engineering, and provides technical support and expertise to address geotechnical materials related issues. She currently serves as the chair of the Geosynthetic Technical Committee for AASHTO’s Product Evaluation and Audit Solutions program and as the vice-chair of AASHTO’s Committee on Materials and Pavements Technical Subcommittee 1b, Geotechnical Exploration, Instrumentation, Stabilization, and Field Testing. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys indoor bouldering with her husband Alexander, going on long hikes, reading, and writing.
