James McGinnis is a Florida PE with a Master of Engineering Degree from Florida State University. He has been with FDOT since 2017 and has experience in FDOT Standard Plans and Roadway Design. James is currently the lead plan reviewer for innovative intersections for FDOT. Innovative intersections include Roundabouts, Diverging Diamond Interchanges, and Displaced Left Turns. He is also responsible for the FDOT Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Standard Plans (aka the 102-600 series). James was part of the team that created the Developmental Standard Plans for Smart Work Zones and lead the development of a new designer-based TTC training.
