Elliott is a Senior Safety Engineer with FHWA’s Resource Center Safety and Highway Design Team. In his current role, he advances the goal of getting to zero fatalities and serious injury crashes on the nation’s roadways by deploying customized training and technical assistance to state and local governments in intersection and interchange design, data-driven safety analysis, roadside design specific to roadway departure crashes, and by providing technical assistance on the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program and grantees. Elliott earned both his BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is a licensed PE in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Elliott resides in Richmond, VA with his wife, two small children, and their extremely misbehaved puppy.
