Doug Dycus is a graduate of the University of Florida and has over 32 years of engineering experience. He started his career as a drainage engineer with St. Johns River Water Management District and worked there for 13 years heading up the Upper St. Johns River Basin Project. He then worked for various consulting firms over a period of 14 years. In 2014, Doug joined the Department in the District 2 Drainage Section and then moved over to Consultant Project Management. During his time in Consultant Project Management, Doug has had the opportunity to work on a number of innovative projects. These include the Pedestrian Lighting Retrofit projects, SR A1A Drainage Project, Internally Illuminated Raised Pavement Marker Safety Project on SR 211, Solar lighting on Mid-Block Cross Walks, and numerous pipe lining projects.
