Derek Dixon is a transportation professional with over 20 years of experience across three FDOT Districts. He specializes in public outreach, stakeholder engagement, and multi-agency coordination. Derek contributed to the planning and design of the $28 million Fuller Warren Bridge Shared-Use Path, a 10-year project supporting over 14,000 pedestrians and bicyclists annually.
A graduate of the NEFRC Leadership Academy, he earned FDOT District 2’s “Accountability Award” for innovative safety outreach during Mobility Week. He has also advised on EV regulations and ADA access for Level 3 charging stations in District 2.
