Received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Marine Biology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton (Go FAU Owls)! Since 2013, has held positions of Environmental Specialist IV and Cultural Resources Coordinator at FDOT District Five in DeLand, where archaeological sites abound. Prior to that, served as Environmental Manager and Cultural Resources Coordinator for 18 years at FDOT District Six in Miami, where historic bridges kept her busy. Of note, the US-1 Key Deer Wildlife Crossings project she managed for much of her time at D6 received the AASHTO Center for Environmental Excellence’s Best Practices in Environmentsal Stewardship Award in a 2003 national competition.
