Casey Lyon currently serves as the Environmental Manager for the Florida Department of Transportation, District 5. Ms. Lyon has over twenty years of natural resource monitoring experience and environmental permitting experience involving protected wildlife and wetlands. Her current general and previous duties include National Environmental Policy Act compliance, wildlife and wetland monitoring, threatened and endangered species assessments, wetland delineations, permitting and mitigation for impacts to threatened and endangered species and wetlands, wetland creation, Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments, and land management activities for habitat restoration including mechanical treatments and fire application. She has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Central Florida.
