Ayman Mohamed is FDOT District Five’s lead Traffic Design Engineer, where he currently oversees the traffic design and lighting initiatives. He also currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida’s College of Engineering and Computer Science. Ayman is a strong believer of FDOT’s Target Zero Initiative; his goal is to eliminate serious injury and fatal nighttime crashes on D5 roadways and intersections as a step towards achieving Target Zero. Ayman received his PhD from the University of Central Florida, specializing in transportation engineering and simulation. Ayman is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida, and he’s also certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.
