Mr. Wilbur began his career in Gainesville, Florida, in 2009 at a design-build firm after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida's Landscape Architecture program. In 2013, he joined Cotleur & Hearing and quickly transitioned into the firm’s transportation division, pursuing a unique and impactful path within the field of landscape architecture. Mr. Wilbur is known for his passion for learning and his ability to quickly adapt to new project types and challenges. Over the years, he has developed deep expertise in public sector work, particularly with FDOT and municipal projects, becoming a trusted leader in transportation landscape architecture and project management. In January 2019, Mr. Wilbur became a partner at Cotleur & Hearing, joining Don Hearing, Robert Cotleur, and two other colleagues in guiding the firm’s continued growth and success. He currently serves as Director of Transportation and leads contract and project management efforts for all projects within the Transportation Division. Working closely with Principal Rob Cotleur, Mr. Wilbur has helped deliver some of the region’s most innovative and high-profile standalone landscape projects. He is an expert in managing multi-year, task work order-based contracts and has extensive experience in the full lifecycle of transportation landscape projects—from roadway component to standalone landscape projects. Additionally, Mr. Wilbur possesses a deep knowledge of the South Florida nursery industry and is highly experienced in construction administration and post-design services. Committed to excellence in every project, Mr. Wilbur is a vocal advocate for elevating the quality of landscaping throughout Florida’s state and local rights-of-way.
