This presentation will cover how the project was initiated, designed and constructed to aid the community, emergency services and traveling public to overcome the challenges of extended delays due to stopped railroad trains within the Town of Starke’s city center. The presentation will cover the study, the public outreach in PD&E, the commitments made to local government and citizens, and utility agencies. Design constraints and unique aesthetic elements and enhancements incorporated into the design will also be discussed. We will include the challenges faced by our FDOT Construction and CEI Consultant team during construction, as well as lessons learned by the Design/Construction/CEI team.
