This session will provide a comprehensive overview of multilane roundabout design on the Florida State Highway System (SHS). Key elements of design to be discussed include operational analysis and lane configuration, size, position, and alignment of approaches, speed management, and the consideration of path overlap at entry and exit points. The session will also address the design vehicle, accommodation, and the integration of bicycle and pedestrian facilities. In addition, attendees will be informed of upcoming updates to Chapter 213, Modern Roundabouts of the FDOT Design Manual.
