Trucking touches nearly every aspect of the economy. Still, it can often be overlooked even though trucks are responsible for delivering raw materials to manufacturing plants, transporting products between distribution facilities, and delivering finished products to businesses and consumers. This presentation will provide an update on how the Department is addressing the truck parking need statewide as well updates to manuals, technology, and specifications. The presentation will also include an overview of the District Five I-4 Truck Parking projects including best practices and lessons learned on site identification, building support/consensus, and project delivery.
